The more I think about it, the more prepaid cellular phone service makes sense. No contracts, no monthly fees, no over usage fees.
Right now we have regular cellular phone service, and the monthly cost is ridiculous with 4 cellular phones on our account. I've got a 2500 minute/month plan that costs $125/month. $60/month for the three extra phones on my account, then $5 per phone per month to have unlimited text messages, brings my monthly bill to $205/month. Then add up all the extra downloads that my kids do each month (for ring tones and games), and my monthly bill comes out to over $250/month! Looking at the big picture, I spend over $3000/year for my cellular phone service.
That's why I'm thinking prepaid cellular phone service may be the way to go. I never thought I'd be paying as much as I do right now for cellular phone service, that's for sure!
Paying as I go may help to keep my costs under control. Anybody with experience using a prepaid cellular phone service - please feel free to leave a comment with any feedback or recommendations on which prepaid cellular phone service to use.
